Wii'ing in Argos

I am going to buy a wii to satisfy my gaming lust until the PS3 price lowers to a resonable level. I rarely play my PS2 anymore (PES 6 is too easy) so I think its the only option.

So I am looking for the best deal, and the offer in argos looks the best. A wii with wii sports, remote, nunchuck + two games of your choice for €324.99. Is this the best offer and if so which games should I get?

I have never played zelda before so I think I will get that, and I want madden 07 but that's not in argos catalogue so I think Call of duty 3 is the best option.

Note: Can you set the length of the play clock in madden 07 or can you still waste a hole quarter just by running a few plays and getting 2 first downs (when playing 3 minute quarters).

You can change the length of the quarters. You can still burn 40 seconds a play as long as you keep running the ball but that's american football for you ;)

Zelda is worth buying. I've not played Madden yet but it looks pretty damn good. Call of Duty is a bit dodgy, Red Steel is the same but might last you longer and Far Cry apparently has the best control scheme but is a crock of a game.

What other games are available in the Argos catalogue?

I don't have the catalogue to hand, but I know madden ain't there cos I checked and I am pretty sure exicte truck isn't there either...

    ...Off to google....

Oops looks like I am wrong

Maybe I should get excite truck instead of COD3?

Note: That sucks that you can't change the length of the play clock, 40 second play clock for three minute quarters!!! Sort it out EA!!! It should be 10 seconds.

I went to Argos 2 days ago to get one, but they didn't have any! I'm going to wait for them to get them back, they easily have the best deal. Buy the console (for €250) and 2 games and get €30 off. Everywhere else is charging €270 (€280 in HMV, bastards!) and have really ****ty deals.

The only thing I've seen cheaper in another shop are the nunchucks, they're €25 in Argos and €22 in GameStop.

They finally got a Wii in in the Argos in town in Cork. €250 for the Wii, €60 for Zelda and €55 for Wii play with the remote and €30 off so €335 for all of that from Argos, and I got a second nunchuck in gamestop for €22.

I got a phone call from Argos in Blackpool last Saturday to say that they'll be getting some in on Tuesday.
