yes, dont laugh - im riding a 50cc ovetto something or other for a few days.

some cnuts took my bandit and made mince meat of it,
has been in surgery for over a week now and were nearing the end,
but the kind fellas at scotts bikes loaned me little scooter yesterday as i was really getting stuck without wheels.

however, the little yoke wouldnt start this morning,
so im still at home (yay for working remote!) but i would like to get this thing running.

it turned over a few times but the battery seems to have died a bit, lights come on, but no turn over.

i tried kick starting but to no avail.

    HOWEVER,
i have never had one of these little hair dryers before so for all i know im doing it wrong, does someone out there know a little trick to get me back motoring at 40kmph ???

Did you try push starting it ? Run with it with the clutch in (do they have one ?) and then let it out quickly.

Just try kicking it, in general. Or perhaps a hammer?

    :D

its not mine, any ideas, i feel like a feckin twat trying to start a scooter.

i know i need to hold in the rear brake to make it electric start,
but is there a procedure to make the kick work?

    got the yoke going.
loads of choke and loads of throttle saw her spluttering to life and filling my entire house with 2 stroke smoke because i was smart enough to leave the front door open and start her woth the exhaust pointing towards it

You cant bump start (centrifugal clutch) as has been said

Ovettos often give problems with those brake light switches on the brake lever. That switch is what allows the bike to start when the lever is in. So if its busted, thats your problem.
