Need Your Advice "again" People !!

Hey Peeps!

First off you lot have helped me before in a situation i had and i just wanna say thanks! but i have another here and im almost certain iv come to the right place! Anyways here it goes....

Im going to a party at the weekend, ( one of my mates birthdays ) and alot of her work friends are going, now there's one girl that she works with who is absolutely beautiful! now my mate has told me that she think im hot ( dont mean to be big headed but i felt like i got kicked in the mouth when she told me this! ) and i too also think that she lovely! now iv never met her before, only seen photo's of her! ( from my mate ) and i do always be saying to my mate " so wen ye gonna hook us up? " ( in a joking way! but also half serious! ) and she'd just laugh and say " it will happen...ah u 2 are sooo made for each other ".....now the only thing is I KNOW FOR A FACT that when i see her im just gonna get all shy and prob avoid her for the whole night until i have a few drinks on me. So peeps what i am really asking is what is the best way of me getting to talk to her? how to approach her? obviously i dont go over and say ( oh ur xxxx arent ye? iv heard loads about you ) maybe i ask my mate to introduce me to her? she know's that i like her and my mate deffo would not lie to me about this......help me ppl

Well don't go overboard on the drinks and make a complete fool of yourself. Go over, say hi and introduce yourself and see how things go from there.

defo go easy on the drinks. you don't want to come across as a drunken fool, and ruin any chance you might have.

Best thing to do would be go over when totally sober, just start up a chat, or get your mate to introduce you. Best of luck with it though

Prepare for meeting her. It sounds silly but have a few lines, questions and funny stories lined up. Even if you never use them they will give you cofnidence and DO NOT get plastered.

Yeah, go easy on the drink. Have your friend introduce you. Do you know any of her interests? Or what kind of music she likes? Talk to your friend and find out some of these things. That will give you something to talk to her about. Good luck and let us know how it turns out

So tempted to tell you to smuggle in some whiskey so you can loosen up before talking to her just to see what happens :eek:

but seriously, if you can involve her and the friend you know well in a conversation I find that really helps. You're comfortable talking to your friend so there wont be awkward silences and you become comfortable around her and her around you.

Getting drunk to talk to someone isn't attractive. Don't have more than one before you meet her. Ask your friend to introduce you and stay there talking to both of you a bit until you can talk to her more comfortably.
