    Hi

I have a sky box upstairs and I want to connect it to a tv and my pc but they are in different rooms. So I was wondering if those wireless tv links that you can get in Maplins could be connected to a tv card in the PC. That way I thought I could get two receivers and have the one sky box connected to both.

I think that would work -- one transmitter and two receivers. As you may know, you'll probably only have composite video [not great in other words, but acceptable].

Keep an eye on Lidl and Aldi's websites for upcoming specials. Wireless video senders often feature.

if you put both receivers on the same freq as tx'er then it should work, but you will be stuck with same channel in all 3 locations..

Is the reason that I would only have composite video because the wireless links only transmit this. If I were to move the PC and and tv to the same room and use a wired link would I be able to get a component signal to both? Are there two component outputs on a sky box and if not can you get a splitter of some kind. Not having much experience with this I am not sure how much worse composite is compared to component video.

I was planning to get fancy and have one transmitter and two receivers for each of the two sky boxes we have and link them both up to a dual analog tuner. But if the signal is much worse then I would rather move things around and get one box linked up with a decent signal.

This is the tuner I was thinking of.

Even though this is an MCE card I assume you can use a PVR other than MCE. I only have Windows XP Prof installed at the moment so I was going to try one of the free PVR's to get it up and running, for the moment anyway.

    Thanks for the help
