Wireless Problem

I use a Belkin wireless router at home with BT broadband. The connection to my laptop keeps dropping, when I reset the router the problem is corrected for a while but then drops again a few minutes later.

    Any ideas?

Do you have a cordless phone, wireless camera, a microwave or a wireless video sender? These may cause your wi-fi connection to drop. Try unplugging any of these suspect devices and see if your connection still drops.

Can you change the frequency/channel your router uses? It may stop the drop-outs.

    Try downloading Netstumbler http://www.netstumbler.com/downloads/

This will show you if there is any conflicting channels nearby.
If there is , change to one that doesnt overlap , 1 ,6 or 11

If that fails try upgrading the Belkin router,
    Mine has the option anyways.
