Hi can anyone tell me what i need to compress a video file from my camera so that i can send it to my daughter attached to an e mail. Do i need to have a special programme for instance, and if this is the case is there a free one!!:) regards Brian

Have a look at autogk. It'll do what you're looking for and is free. Your daughter may need to install the xvid codec afterwards (you may need to install it beforehand). You can get that from www.xvid.org.
