Asia what to see and where to stay

    Hi im heading to Asia in April for 6 weeks on route to Australia. I hope to take in thailand vietnam and singapore on route to Australia from Singapore.

    Can anyone recommend

    1.A route to take.Starting in bangkok and ending in Singapore
    2.What mode of transport to take and the best way to book.
    3.Some places to stay. preferably with internet connection in room
    4.Some decent things to visit.
    5.What amount of money one would need to live comfortably for 6 weeks.
    6.Any other advice
