Displaying laptop on normal tv

    just wondering, can you get a cable that will display a laptop on a normal crt tv e.g. from the laptop into the scart at the back??? if so how much approx do they cost?? thnks

    s-video cable should do the trick assuming your lappy has an s-video port.

    Need a scart with an s-vid conection on it aswell.

    cost me €5 for the lead and works grand.

    it depends what connections you have on your laptop, but normally you can.
    s-video is a pretty std laptop connection and you can buy s-video to composite cables which will plug into your TV. 10-20 euro, maybe cheaper.
    Generally only good for video though, txt is not great.

    cheers lads, i'll check that out so. wasnt planning 2 use it 4 txt n stuff, just wanted to use it for streaming tv programs so sounds like it should do the trick then!
