Before i say anything can i just start by saying i KNOW this isnt the done thing... its not normal and somewhat undesirable for spouses to be posting in a forum where they quite obviously dont know the rear end of a donkey from a Canon - BUT, i just couldnt resist making one observation (as i normally follow these competitions from afar)...

Whilst elvens shot is cool, great composition, good lighting, lovely idea and all that... stuff.... and well done darling....

what nobody could know is that those bloody shoes have been on the bedroom floor since that shot was posted. so... please, before you vote in the future... please spare a thought for the ailing husbands of the boards who have to compete with a digital camera and boards.fecking.ie for the affections of their respective partners.

'going out' is how i perceive my mrs - halfway out the door though normally with combats, walking boots, and camera bag.

my vote went to julies pins. I have to admit to being a big fan of her photos, but this one is a particular fave of mine. it's not only an instantly eye-catching and attracive photo to me, but on closer inspection it tells a much deeper story at the same time as asking so many possible questions - all of which come together to make such an amazing shot.

I think minimalism speaks for itself, dare I say - it's simple enough? You could go for macro, landscape, something in between... it could be abstract, colour, bw, anything. Yay!
