Few Questions on Philips

    My parents moved into a new house and they have bought/planning to buy a good few Philips products. First off they have bought a 32inche Philips Amby(spl) Light @ €2400 which is 400 dearer than the Philips shop in Dublin, to go with this they have bought a 6.1 DVD Dolby Surround Sound System @ €1000. The have are two other flat screens to be bought in the near future but we want to see how they get on with the first TV. Along with this there are two Sky boxes (one +HD and one normal) and we and a Technics setero from out old house along with another Flat Screen and DVD player. To cope with this we are thinking of getting a Philips Pronto SBCRU1000 Control Panel @ €700.

    Question 1
    Are Philips good?

    Are the prices and products mentioned about good?

    Is the Control Panel worth getting?

    Does the Control Panel work well with Sky?

    Any other brands/products worth getting/looking into to?

    Its a pretty general topic but any help would be appricated!!
