Ford Radio Wiring Help needed

    hi ive a 1986 ford granada mk3 im fitting a non ford cd/radio ,the existing ford wires are stripped and are RED // RED AND WHITE // YELLOW// BROWN ,the rest are speaker wires i had the radio working with red (live) red and white and brown (neg) and yellow (memory) sound improved when i put red and white with live or with memory and left brown as neg?! i blew everything when the brown wire touched live!! central locking gone too so im hoping its a fuse in car and not a fried radio help appreciated:confused:
