New Experimental AFT client

    Hey All!

I'm new to these boards but I am good friends with a few members. I've been around with AFT since the start, when it was originally branded with the name "MurphMessenger" and then took a back seat development wise for a while, but now I'm back, and so is "MurphMessenger"!

The new experimental client I am developing is adding the features you have requested as users and improving reliability.

It also has a new sending method (supported by most phones) that allows you to possibly save more money! (For the geeky among you it sends raw data, no HTTP headers). This means that it's now even cheaper to send texts this way! Don't worry if your phone doesn't support this, or even if you don't know if it does, MurphMessenger automatically recognises which method to send by (the advanced user can of course tell it by changing the options).

As I said, the client is experimental and only avaliable to a select few, but if you PM me I will probably allow you to try it, with a few provisos I will explain the PM).

As this client is experiemental and in development I am looking for more ideas about what to add to it. I'd like to know your ideas about this, so please respond and tell me what you liked/didn't like about the previous AFT client, and let me know what you'd like to see in the new version!

    Cheers,
    Andrew Murphy

BTW this isnt to compete directly with AFT. Me and Andrew has been good friends for a while now and is experimenting new ways to integrate aftuser and the j2me client even closer together, so essentially bleeding edge features will be added to this first and then once it works well be put nto the original AFT
Reasons for it not going to the orignal AFT to begin with is that me and dal rarely see eachother on msn, and to get a project like this underway, communication is key.

Cooperation is key and in the end everyone will benefit from it :)
