    has anyone been here before? i'm going in july for a week. is law very strict? water activities? shopping? i've tried looking on the net but no help there. thanks

    Went there couple of years back.

    Pros - nice weather, very moderm hotels (make sure your hotel is at least 4 star or you will be sorry - the three stars are soviet hangover hotels and look like gulags), nice beach, reasonably good value (2/3rds price of ireland or less), youngish resort. Sea is nice temp. Locals are not pushy.

    Cons - Food is only ok (they prefer to eat their food lukewarm), loads of Mafia around (disturbing), we hired a car and had to give it back after a day - the roads were dire and the driving suicidal, and our car was leaking petrol. Not much to do in resort. Did not see any watersports. Good few prostitutes around at night. No real shopping.

    Overall 5.5/10

    I found it OK, I would go back there again. The beach is very clean and the water will be nice then. Good fun in the bars and I thought the food was similar to Spain but a bit cheaper. Plenty of action at night too( for a few fellas anyway!).
