I've tried it once to make a portrait for my wife as a Bday gift, at first glimpse it looks fabulos but dear enough though.
Thats good Q WHY :-) just wanted to try something new :-)
I did pay something 130e:eek: including shipping from UK for 60by40cm canvas ordering it online.Later, I found cheaper prices online in UK, try google.
You have to provide picture resolution of 2000+ to have great output. My only advice, keep such canvas away from direct sun light which could make colors faded.

There are places that will do it for you. Reeds will do it onto a T-shirt but only on white I think (ring and ask)
There is another place in Stevens Green Shopping Center, again some kind of colour restriction.

One thing though, They dont last and it will completly depend on the picture you have as to the quality. Its a complete crap shoot (used to work for Reeds, seen it loads of times, they are not great). There has to be some place on the net that will garantee some kind of decent results

I print heaps of stuff on canvas and it looks great and had no problems at all with fading. It comes down to the type of ink you use and if you coat the canvas after printing. Canvas tends to need a lot of ink down so some peeps seem to go for cheapo compatable inks which is what you need to avoid. You only want genuine epson pigment inks or equivalent. If it's cheap then it's compatable inks and not going to last. Definitely NO DYE BASED INKS on canvas, and the canvas needs to be varnished.

I noticed photobox.ie are doing canvas. Dunno if its any good but there other stufff seems great.

i've used a crowd called geometrics in ballsbridge a couple of times - about 25 quid for a print wrapped onto a board about halfway between A4 and A3, but they've a minimum charge of €42 (or similar) so you'd be ordering at least two...

I've used geometrics too. Good quality print however I'm still looking for some way to seal it. A tiny splash of liquid will remove the ink.

    Matt varnishes for paints?

    Same theory!

If the problem is the inks are coming off, spray the varnish on.

any art shop should have a fixing spray, i think. used for pencil and watercolour work.
