    Hi,

My brother just got a wii. He is wondering what's the best game he should get. I have one as well and I have Red Steel and Zelda that he can get a loan of.

So what the next best game to get?

    Cheers
    Nedd

Next best seems to be Excite-Truck, getting it myself this weekend.

I'd get Madden 07. It got good reviews and it's my personal favourite of the games I have (zelda, wario, madden, sports). Only one of the games I really like tbh.

I'd recommend Rayman. Not as engrossing as Zelda or Red Steel, but it's a lot of fun, especially in multiplayer.

Was about to ask this... should be getting my Wii at the end of the week.

Not a big Zelda fan (think i'm the only one) - so i'll probably get Wii Play (just for the extra WiiMote) and either Excite Truck, WarioWare or Rayman: Raving Rabbids.

Heard bad things about Red Steel and not enough interest to warrant the purchase of Madden 07

Your not alone... I'm not a big zelda fan either. never played em before.
Got red steel instead of Zelda with my wii and throughly enjoyed it. Cleared it last week, I found it got better and better as I progressed, great game IMO.
Wii play is good for the free remote, thats about it.
Didnt enjoy warioware at all, so think I mite trade it in for Zelda to see what all the fuss is about!!!:p
Excite truck is also very good.
Madden looks nice dunno much about rayman.

Cheers for that slayerking. Good to see someone in the same boat as me regarding Zelda.

I quite liked the look of Warioware - looks like a good party game with a few mates while inebriated and heard it's got a feckin' load of games. But probably hasn't got the longevity.

Am thinking Wii Play (which i heard is pretty much a bore but if it's only €10 more than just the WiiMote - be pretty mad not to get it). Think i may go for ExciteTruck or Red Steel - or possibly both! ;)

Warioware is too easy and too short. Rayman is a better mini-game collection.

Red Steel is the most generic of generic shooters.

Its a shame you don't like Zelda - its by a country-mile the best game on the system at the moment.

    Cheers RE*AC*TOR.

Think i'll probably go for ExciteTruck for the time being - anyone know if it's cheaper in Smyths or GameStop? It's €59.99 in my local Xtra-Vision anyways. Might go for Zelda in a few weeks - haven't played it in years so i'm basing my opinion on it that i wasn't too impressed when i first played it. But opinions change.

    Anyone else any opinions?

If you have a Smyths reward card and you buy it there you can get it for €45.

EDIT: i think it has to be before Friday though.

Fraid i have no idea what a Smyth's reward card is.. so no, i don't think i have one! :D

It's €49.99 on the Smyths site... probably buy it at that that. Don't expect it to be any cheaper in GameStop.

PS - hmmmmm.. most other Wii games seem to be €59.99 on the Smyths site (Zelda, Red Steel, Rayman etc). Wonder why ExciteTruck and Warioware (which is also €49.99) are that bit cheaper.

I'd recommend NFS:Carbon. I really like it. Not many people do like it because of the controls. But just change them to using the nunchuk then its great fun :)

Not sure if it's out there yet, but trauma center is the best wii game after zelda.

Any1 know when Trauma Centre is out here?

That and Metal Slugs are the only launch games left to arrive.

Next month on the 10th, I think, there are 10 Wii games coming out on the one day.

As long as SSX gets an avg of 80% I'm getting it.
