Cheap moisture metre required

    Hi all,

Does anyone know where I could get a cheap moisture metre to check the dampness levels in my new house's floors and plastered walls. As this gadget will probably never be used again, I don't want to spend too much on it.

Also, if anyone knows what moisture levels are "safe" to allow me to paint walls (without the paint peeling off again) and to put down wooden and laminate flooring, please let me know.

Ebay, I bought a simple one for £3-£4 from Bamford_trading. Probably about €15 with postage etc.
