Reporting items not received on ebay

I paid €400 for an item on ebay but i never received it,its been reported to ebay/paypal but this sellers account has been closed so i cant get my money back. This seller is in ireland,Is their any point in reporting this the garda??

get on to ebay customer service first, they will escalate the issue and inestigate for you. they will refund you as seller and buyer are protected by Paypal, so you should be able to get a refund in this case
