Im in the BB with 88
    Ive $143
    Villain has $73

Villain is in MP and raises to $4 with 1 limper. I think about re-raising as im going to be out of position but i decide to flat call as there is still 1 limper to act so i dont want to inflate the pot and have to play 8's out of positon with an overcard on the flop. I call and limper folds. Is this ok??

Flop comes 229 rainbow. Good flop for me, villain somewhat unlikely to have raised with a 9 in his hand. I check here, happy enough with the flop but i want to keep the pot small because i dont have much info on his hand. He bets $3.50 into $10.50 pot, smells of continuation bet and im thinking maybe AK-AJ missed the flop so i re-raise to $10.50 thinking it will be enough to make him fold any missed flop hand. He flat calls.

Turn is 10 i checked. Villain has been playing a bit tiltly, get all in with the likes of AJ preflop and other times showing 1 card after everyone folded to him suspect he was trying to coax someone into calling him when He does have a hand. Anyway he bets out $8 into a $35 pot, again a weak bet and i call this.....should i fold here?? Villain could well have an overpair or just AK-AJ.

Turn is 4 and no flushes or draws complete and he pushes all in for another $50......giving the information on the villain is this still an easy fold or how do you play this hand?

your thinking is wrong in alot of spots, you want to play small pots oop so reraising is bad.

with 8s you're going for set value anyway, which are easy to play, so position doesn't really matter.

If you're going to reraise re-raise more. i'd just call tho.

I'd call the turn, i dunno about the river, you're just hoping he's shoving missed overcards, folds seems best.

I would say he has the full house of 9's here, or AA, KK, QQ

Usually these small cont bets at these levels are looking for raises etc.

    preflop is fine

    c/c the flop

    call the turn

    fold the river

whats the standard like on pkr?
Been meaning to give it a go

Standard is extremely poor at the 25/50 and 50/1 levels most nights. So many players cant drop middle or top pair, theyre so curious. I started playing 25/50 with $80 just to see the software in action and i had it built up to $400+ fairly quick and ive still alot of learning to do myself.

I havent been playing as much recently because you cant use poker tracker or keep notes and multitabling causes problems (u cant multitable there but when i open full tilt or tribeca with poker tracker at the same time it lags very bad.)
