I would like to work on few my photos, however I don't know where is the best place to scan my negatives (35 mm).

Thank you a lot for any information. I prefer Dublin, however the whole Ireland (the northern counties included, of course) is possible for me.

i've never come across anyone who has used one of the high street labs for this sort of service, so i don't know if they'd offer it. i'm sure one of the more pro oriented labs would be happy to do it, but i imagine they'd charge accordingly.

how many photos do you want to scan?

Well, I have about 5 picuters so far. It is from one project about the sea. I would like to make them in size about 1 meter, however I would like to control the process and the colour management a lot.

I am not in a hurry now.

Grants in Baggot street were the only ones that used to do the original Kodak photo CD , with the 5 resolutions for each picture

If its just a few negs /slides then one of the new Epson flatbed with built in transparancy adaptor might be cheaper just to buy and do diy

Other than that you are into 800 Euro for a Nikon Coolscan

1 metre wide prints? that's quite a size to blow 35mm up to.
