    Hi there everybody,
hopefuly someone can help me. I bought a nokia n73 on Ebay the other week from the uk. The phone was locked to Vodafone uk and i was silly enough to assume that it would work on vodafone Ireland. After a little pushing I got the seller to get me the unlocking code from vodafone uk. Now the problem is when i put my Irish sim card in the phone says card not valid and won't let me do anything. So here's the question can I get the unlocking code into the phone? Do I need the original owners sim card? Do I need a uk sim card? Is this a hopeless case? Should I just stick the phone back on Ebay?
Please help me I have this top of the range phone that i can't use.
    Thanks Paul.

Turn on the phone with no SIM card in it, turn it on, and punch in the unlock code. That's all there is to it. No need to mess around with SIM cards at all.

    It's a piece of cake.
