Map update - Help please

    Hi. I have a Sony Nav-U50 and was wondering if anybody can help me out regarding upgrades for this unit. There seems to be nothing on the Sony site about upgrading to the latest maps for Ireland. Can I install any of the other updated maps that are available (for Garmin etc...) onto this unit? There are some units on sale in Tesco with Route 66 maps. Does anybody have any info as to how good these maps are? Thanks. Jim.

    i have route 66 on my pda the maps are navteq (best ireland maps certainly for northwest) unfortunately the maps are q4 2005 so no ballyshannon or sligo bypass they wouldnt give me a date for the next release so not buying an update
    the chicago units have a q2 2006 date but no idea how easy they are to update
