    Ok, a few questions.

1.- What size should one be saving your digital pics when making ready to print? For sizes A3, A4 and for standard comon garden picture size (think thats A6).
Probably better in cm but inch will be fine

2.- What format do most print houses accpet? ie what would be the standard

3.- For just standard sized prints (for albums for family and so on), where do you recomend to get them printed? Dublin city center (pref southside but no biggie, nothside is not THAT bad :P)

4.- For quality printing, where would you recomend? ie A4, A3 and so on. And would you recomend a differant place for differant sizes?

Looking for peoples experiances, people who've done this or have looked into it. Hoping to learn from your lessons ;)

5.- Any tips or recomendations for when you go to the printer?

standard answer is 300 pixels per inch (300ppi)

Printers use inches, not cm or A4. So for a 6in X 4in print you want 300 pixels per inch which is: 1800 pixels X 1200 pixels and so on for all photo sizes: 7x5, 8x6, 9x6, 10x8, 12x8, 15x10

2.- What format do most print houses accpet? ie what would be the standard
jpg or tiff, jpg is the standard

3.- For just standard sized prints (for albums for family and so on), where do you recomend to get them printed? Dublin city center (pref southside but no biggie, nothside is not THAT bad :P)

any fuji lab as they are checked for quality by fuji. for example, camera centre on grafton street, McGowans (MCG) digital on south great georges st

4.- For quality printing, where would you recomend? ie A4, A3 and so on. And would you recomend a differant place for differant sizes?

for bigger than 10x15 i'd advise eitherMcGowans (MCG) on St Great Georges St or photobox.ie

5.- Any tips or recomendations for when you go to the printer?

ask to speak to someone who knows what they're talking about, if they don't understand resolution, or what makes a good quality print, then leave and go somewhere else
