I have some of the Western Digital MyBook range from Komplett.ie and they both work great. I have 2 of these. Not a bad price. Check your local PC World also sometimes have a few deals on external hard drives.

PC World have 320GB Maxtors for €120. No backing up software included though.

if you are now hearing the click of death, i would wait no longer than the time it takes to get you to your nearest shop to buy a drive. i've lost two un backed up drives in the last year, don't let it happen to you! sickening feeling.

i now have 3 externals sitting under my desk here!

itdirect on parliament st are good, though to be honest there have been huge price drops on external drives lately, you'll get a decent deal in most places.

    just get it asap!
