photographing sports

hey guys im goping to be photographing something similiar to kickboxing wrestling type sports tomorrow night! any advice on the levels i should be at? i.e ringside away from the ring, standing on the canvas etc?
shutter speeds etc? the lighting is ok but not great, should i use a flash?

Not sure that flash would be allowed, it may prove distracting to the fighters.
