    having a prob with a mobo i bought off ebay
    getting error = cmos sumcheck bad
    have tryed clearing the cmos with the jumpers and then tryed cmos and removing battery
    after i did tha t got error with time and date
    rebooted and when back to the error of cmos sumcheck bad
    never came across this before

    Try reloading to the default settings in the BIOS setup menu (DEL, F2 or some other key) when the computer starts.

    Sometimes it takes a press of the power switch with the battery out and jumpers on reset for the bios to reset. Clears residual power apparently. Otherwise do Ruu,.

    the other problem ,it wont let me get into bios by del or f2 key
    need to get to bios to let it pickup the floppy so i can flash

    dont know if this has any thing to do with it
    when i disconnected the psu,i pressed the power button to get rid of any power in system
