Guitarbargains.com not so much of a bargain anymore.

Just looking up the prices of some of the new Ibanez guitars on guitarbargains.com and I've noticed that the cost has shot up. Now, it's just ever so slightly cheaper than Thomann, when until recently they were a good 200 euro or more cheaper. Considering the shipping costs when ordering from guitarbargains, it might actually end up cheaper to buy from Thomann!

This is quite disheartening, because when looking for any Ibanezes, they were a great store.

Seems like www.gak.co.uk now have the best prices.

That sucks. Last time I checked, they were still the cheapest prices in Europe for new Mesa/Boogie gear, but its possible those prices have gone up aswell.

I guess the moral of the story is just to check around - different places will have struck different deals with the various manufacturers and wholesalers, so might be cheaper for one brand and more expensive for another.

Gak is also a great place for marshall, cheapest around afaik (not that i'd be buying any marshall stuff ;) ) Gak tends to have better prices than a lot of the second hand marshall gear you see on this very site ;)

Well you must shop around, because some places get things cheaper and in bulk. like gak with marshalls! Thomann with H&k etc..

Buy second hand, chaps, let someone else take the hit ;)

Aye second hand is the way to go - though of course, if we all buy second hand, there wont be any new second hand guitars, only the ones that exist already:D

Plus of course, second hand is only the way to go at the right price - you see some of the stupid prices in the b&s (and here) and you cant help laughing.. If I had a euro for every time I saw something advertised used for more than I could buy new....;)

I've noticed the prices seem to have gone back to normal again. How odd.

Any idea how much it would cost with delivery in yo yos.
Do you find that you get screwed over with the rate on the FX transaction by the CC company???

Why don't you ask GAK? Surely they'd be able to tell you what the postage would be?

Sorry. I was just lookin for a rough estimate based on what people have paid in the past.

Im pretty sure the GAK website calculates the postage after you check out the items and fill in your details...

If youre too lazy to do that, I doubt anybody else is going to do it for you...

Ah come on man, there was a full day between your two posts asking what the delivery cost was...

I just went on to gak to check if I was right and got a delivery quote to ROI on a random item in under a minute....
