Inconceivable that it could be anything else this week. What a masterpiece, and one that never loses it's magic. It stands up to repeat viewings like only a few other films can.

Yeah great choice. this really is a movie that has stood the test of time. It has great characterisation, lines that will live on forever, and Andre the Giant :D , what more could you ask for. It really is a piece of movie magic, and one that can be picked up for next to nothing!!!

An excellent film slightly let down by the presence of the deeply unfunny Billy Crystal.

Andre the Giant is outstanding though.

Was never a big fan of this as a kid. Was reguarly on but never got the attraction with it. Theres a DVD of it at home, must sit down and give it a proper watch one of these days. But really a film I was just never able to hop on the hype bandwagon for.

Yeah im not a huge fan of this movie. I re-watched it there last night to see if I was missing something but I still think its a good movie but definitelt overrated. Worth a watch but nothing more.

I saw this film years ago as a kid and was entranced by it. It's good, attention gripping stuff. I've seen it a few times since my childhood however I read the book a few years back and found watching the movie after this (it is an outstanding book, the best fairytale I've ever read) that there's a something niggling in the back of my head about how much better the book was.

It's an old complaint I know and it doesn't take so much from the movie that I can't say it's a fantastic piece of fantasy filmmaking.

This is one of my favs of all time. The book is actually realy cool aswell. If you can get it cheap pick it up its great.Diving into the quicksand in the fire swamps used to give me nightmares when i was young.Love everything about it even the music was amazing.
