Hey my friend has recently started collecing vinyl and i'm hoping to buy a portable recordplayer / turntable for them, something with a good sound quality would be best. I saw one in the sony centre in dub but it was 200E and a bit over my budget.

Any help would be great as i don't know much about prices and/or models!

    thanks

I have a Bush mini-turntable that Argos used to sell (not sure if it's still available). It won some award from What Hi-Fi so it's decent enough and it has a pre-amp built-in, so you can connect it straight into your PC if you want to archive your vinyl. Think it was only about 80 Euro.

Basically it needs to have speakers built into it! Whats the best offer you can do on the Bush one blast?

    Do you have the specs?

Bush one doesn't have built-in speakers. I wasn't looking to sell mine, either. :)

    Basically it's this one....

    Bush turntable

Tesco were selling two different ones about a month ago, im not sure if they had built in speakers or not though. I think one them was Bush. Sorry i cant remember how much though. You would probably have to try the larger stores as I saw them in the Longford store but not the Ck-on Shannon one.

Ive seen some on the internet that are usb turntables and you can connect to your stereo or you can hook up to your pc and convert your vinyl to cd or mp3.They seem to be around £100

Can't fault the Bush turntable. Ok it's not exactly what you're after but if all else fails it's worth every penny. Sound from it is nearly as good if not the same as I got from my 1210's. Plenty of them on e-bay.
