Holdem No Limit - $1 BB

Ryanbear just joined the table. Happy with everything until the turn. I panicked on the turn i think, the only hands that called me here are beating me, although if he dosent have spades hes very likely to fold here anyway but im still not happy with how i played it. Saying that with $40 in the pot and only $60 left behind for me, i felt i had 2 options check/fold to a big bet or push as a $20 bet into this pot isnt going to scare him away and leaves me committed and its not worth betting any less, if i checked i think im giving him the advantage here to push me off my hand.

How would you play this turn?

    UTG+1 ($177.52) [Vesperfish ]
    UTG+2 ($78.50) [Hero]
    MP+1 ($20.50) [IONIZER ]
    MP+2 ($100) [C_Noob ]
    CO ($88) [Looter.52 ]
    Button ($77) [Prough ]
    SB ($98) [RYAN BEAR ]
    BB ($186.25) [Bamboozle2 ]
    UTG ($40) [Pus Monkey ]

Hero is UTG+2 with Qd, Qs
    Preflop: (6 players, $1.5)
Vesperfish folds, Hero calls $1 and raises $4, Looter.52 folds, Prough calls $5, RYAN BEAR calls $4.50, Bamboozle2 folds

    Flop: 8h, 9s, 7s (3 players, $16)
RYAN BEAR checks, Hero bets $12, Prough folds, RYAN BEAR calls $12

    Turn: Js (2 players, $40)
RYAN BEAR checks, Hero bets $61.50 and is All-In, RYAN BEAR folds

    Results: Hero has Qd, Qs
Hero wins $38 as the last player standing

you are in position, so check behind, see what happens on the rive. Thats probably the worst card in the deck

Pushing here is horrendous. I did lol at the turn card though.

I agree, knew as soon as i did it it was a panic bet.

Assuming i dont hit a spade or 10 on the river and no overcards or any more dangerous cards, if i checked behind on the turn and he bet into me, how big would the raise have to be for me to fold 1/2 pot, 3/4 pot ??

you bet because u were afraid he'd bluff you? that thinking is a bit off, I much rather call a bet on the river that might be a bluff than shove the turn.

If you checked a blank turn and the river was an offsuit two i would usually call any size bet.

All draws missed and you checked the turn indicating that your flop bet was simply a continuation bet. As a result of these 2 factors, your opponent is more likely to bluff the river in an attempt to steal what's in the middle, so i'd snap call whatever bet he makes (against msot players anyways)
