What Speakers?

Just got a Yamaha Amp RXV359 to replace a failed JVC amp I had. I am still using the JVC speakers which are underrated for this system.

Looking for something decent without blowing the budget for a set of front, rear, centre and then later subwoofer.

What should I look at that will work well with this Yamaha Amp?

    Thanks

Whats the budget? And what do you want to do with the system ? Is it for surround sound home cinema or just for listening to music ?

These speakers would match that amp well , but dont know your budget so they may be too much !!

At the moment, budget not decided. It certainly aint big at the moment.
In hindsight, perhaps I should have bought the set of speakers and sub that come with it.
Like an idiot I assumed that the Sub I had would work, but its only passive.

I use it for TV, movies / music vids and some music - in that order.

Nice set. Not sure about colour - thats another story. I mounted my 2 fronts this evening - the holes aint major so could hide them easy enough if required(or hang these if they can be held up with a screw in a wall).

Ill browse their site. The money aint too bad. Not today though. Biggest Issue is no sub at present.

I have that set and they have a screw mount on the back , the sub that comes with it is excellent , I have the set matched with a Sony STR790 and it sounds great.

I got them in silver , they come in three colours I think , for my Missus , everything has to be silver , Amp , DVD , everything , to match the room etc.

Heres a review from home cinema choice ,

I was hoping the 300 price was Euro. Anyways - makes it a while longer still. What would you recommend for Sub for now?
    Thanks for info btw.

My local Harvey Norman has some Jamo speakers (display unit) for €399. Busy searching for details now. E10 something ....

Jamo are ok (just) but Hardly Normal is a rip-off. I'm sure you'd get similar cheaper if you look around.

Agreed, looking now. Think I might go with the Yamaha set that comes with my amp and leave it at that for now.
