right well, got me new ram today, 1 gb ddr pc3200

installed it, worked no bother, then i had a 1gig stick and a 256 stick side by side

working fine all day then i got up this morning to find the pc in black screen limbo

couldnt get it to even start up as far as the bios screen, after much tinkering about inside it, got it to start up with just the 256 stick in it, when it started up into windows i got the message "windows has encountered a serious problem and had to close, do you want to send a report to microsoft"

it gave me this bull**** :

    BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : F7546EE7 BCP3 : F79173C4
    BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 256_1

then said it was going to use the following files to send to MS

    C:\DOCUME~1\Brian\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERddd9.dir00\Mini021407-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\Brian\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERddd9.dir00\sysdata.xml

    what what?
