How did i play this, AK,AQ,A10 or all likely possible hands here. I didnt want to build a big pot here as AK has me beat and AQ & A10 had the gutshot draw to beat me, the flush was a danger as was the unlikely Q10. So am i right in trying to keep this pot small on the turn?

Holdem No Limit - $1 BB

    UTG+1 ($55) [Snauka ]
    UTG+2 ($68.75) [<*((()))>< ]
    MP+1 ($32.75) [foxi7 ]
    MP+2 ($58) [zampan0 ]
    CO ($85.75) [C_Noob ]
    Button ($121.50) [Hero]
    SB ($92.50) [Bamboozle2 ]
    BB ($107.50) [MsGentleman ]
    UTG ($125.50) [TheIMF ]

Hero is Button with Jh, Ah
    Preflop: (8 players, $1.5)
    4 folds, C_Noob calls $1 and raises $3, Hero calls $4, 2 folds

Flop: Jc, Kc, As (2 players, $9.5)
    C_Noob checks, Hero bets $5, C_Noob calls $5 and raises $5, Hero calls $5

    Turn: 4h (2 players, $29.5)
    C_Noob checks, Hero checks

    River: 9d (2 players, $29.5)
    C_Noob checks, Hero bets $10, C_Noob calls $10

    Results: Hero has Jh, Ah
Hero wins $47.25 with Two Pair: Aces and Jacks

    Bet the turn.

I don't like the call pf, again I prefer to raise or fold this one.
The rest of the hand seems ok, I would probably check behind on the turn in case he is trying to "trap" us again.

River bet is bit small, your leaving yourself opening to a c/r as it looks a bit weak
Would you have called a check raise, did you think of this question before you bet it?

So am i being too cautious on this flop with my 2 pair and i should be looking to build a bigger pot with this holding? Didnt know what to make of the min re-raise on that flop

Reraise the minreraise on the flop, imo minreraise is either set or air,

as played I agree with Rasta I think a bet on the turn is a must, an awful lot of bad players will close down on a hand when there min reraise doesnt win them the hand... bet the turn, if flat called check behind the river...

Cooker surely in late position with AJsuited the call isnt bad. I would reraise or fold if I was oop to the raiser but as i'm in position I flat call here almost all the time.

On the turn I think the check behind is bad only because the minreraise is often very weak... if i was to flat call the minreraise (which I wouldnt) I would definately bet behind on the turn.

edit:/ Yes I think you are definately being too cautious with that flop. what more could you hope for on it? You have hit two pair, if opponent has ak its unlucky but its a fantastic flop for you.

The call may be acceptable but I much prefer to raise and take control. It makes it easier to win the pot when you miss by cont betting it or by just winning the pot there and then if he folds to the re-raise.

Yeah when I look at it again, 3 betting flop or betting the turn is probably best, it's just always hard to try to figure out where you stand with the min raise or the wtf raise as I would call it as that is usually what I am saying when I see it.
