Hi, was just wondering what somebody might do in this situation. I was playing a live tournament last night with 120 buy in. Qualified through a satellite and decided to go over in my desperatly hung over state. Was going pretty well and we were at level 2 (blinds 50/100). In late position i picket up a pair of tens. Solid aggressive player behind me raised pre-flop 2 and a half times the bb. I called.
    FLOP: 3 10 J with 2 spades.
    Player: raises 600
    Me: re-raise to 1200
Player: Thinks about it for a while and calls.
    RIVER: 4 of spades.
    Player: checks
I thought for a while and bet out 1000 (too small?)
I didnt want to give a free card and was very suspicious of his check.
He pondered for a while and then put me all in. I had put about 2600 into the pot leaving me with about 3500 left if i folded but doubling me up if i won. I didn't reckon he had a flush so i put him on an overpair maybe with a spade. He had me covered in chips and we were still in the very early stages of the tourney. I can usually make big lay down's but in this situation i just knew i was going to call. After about 6 mins thinking about it i made the call.

I threw down my set of 10's and he flipped over his pocket jacks  beating my set. Been thinking about it since and can't really decide if it was a terrible call or the right move. He was probably the strongest player at the table and i had no desire to be heads up with him but i just couldn''t get away from this one.

Unlucky, I'd have probably re-raised more on the flop and then got it in there or have re-raised Pre-Flop, but no I never fold trips and would have either checked the turn or bet more. Especially given your read.

So basically at some stage I was probably going broke here. It's just a case of where, the only way I might get away from it is if I re-raise Pre-Flop and he pushes, and if he was a tight enough player.
