Additional Water Heater

We are adding an extension and going to fix our old shower at the same time . Part of the problem is that the shower is so far from the hot press , we waste lots of water before it runs hot .
As we will have the old and new showers plus the downstairs WC located near one another , would it be worth installing a small water heater in this part of the house ? Any recommendations?
Oh , our water is heated by oil fired Stanley most of the year and we never run short.

If you are planning to feed both showers from the same source, then it isn't going to be a small water heater, but another cylinder and immersion.

If you already have an efficient water heating source, I would be inclined to leave well enough alone. I wouldn't be worrying about how much water you are wasting, it's probably not that much anyway.

The only thing you might consider is putting a Triton or similar instant shower into the new unit. Overall it's the cheapest way to heat water for a shower because you are not storing hot water.
