I only use bookmarks for interesting crap that I wont remember. Cant say I mis-spell anything with any regularity. I visit the same sites all the time so I just type in two letters and the address comes up.

I linked to a dodgy site and now I have been banned from After Hours

    It just seems so right...

Why am I clicking the links on this thread? Jaysus.

I for some reason always end up getting
    www.YerMaSucksCocksinHell.com wrong.

Believe me that can be embarrassing if you get it wrong

www.YerManSucksCocksinHell.com is a wholly different site!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

AnonoBoy, thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Could people use the report post function to notify the mods of any further dodgy links, please. Sometimes we get distracted by real life and don't have time to check all the links.
I suggest anyone else posting in this thread checks their links before posting them. There is no tolerance for porn links.
    Thanks.

    I do that myself. :D

When I heard about You-Tube a couple of years ago I couldn't wait to get home and check it out.

I typed www.utube.com and I sat there looking at the screen, very confustimicated

you don't need to type in www. just type in boards.ie and save yourself valuable milliseconds ;)

ye utube.com's server keeps crashing because of you lot :D

Usually end up stickin a , insteda of a . or doin the dot before the last w , ww.w*watever*.com
Cant say what the most mispelt one would be though. throphymanager.com instead trophymanager.com (most prob dont play it but should, we gotta forum now here)

    *hops back to topic*
So now I try to use bookmarks for most things, just a quick scroll down, open in new tab, open next one in new tab. So usually got bebo, trophymanager & boards all open as soon as log on :D Really should set up the homepage but got some cool countdown thingy as that

i do know there used to be 2 graigslist sites.
one was a job site, the other was porn.
my missus opened up the wrong one in work one day in front of everyone.

    hahahahahah.

On the rare occasion that my highly dextrous fingers let me down, it's generally because I press enter a split second before I've finished typing the url. My milliseconds are that valuable, I must maximise them.

Which probably wastes me more time overall, but practise should change that.

I used to do that too.

My main typo for URLs is *.vom

Used to regularly type "joymail.com" instead of hotmail.com, back when I typed the 'hot' with both hands. Have a look at the keyboard; it's not as hard to do as you'd think.
