Been looking for a new DVD play and have found the one I've been looking for at richersounds.ie at a suspiciously low price. Never heard of them before so I am wary.

Anyone have any experience with them?

They've been around for years n years... I used to work for em when i left school.. that was 8 yrs ago.. They closed the dublin shop a few years back n run everything out of the belfast shop.. When i was shopping around for a plasma 2 yrs ago the manager offered to drive down to dublin himself with the screen... highly recommended

How come they left Dublin? That was about the only shop where you could look for decent AV systems. All we have now is Dixons/Power City etc which are rubbish for finding what you want.

I think someone said their overheads were too high in Dublin, and I think the basis of their business was to supply lower prices because of low overheads. I have bought from them online and would definitely recommend them though.

The guy that owned it owned the philips shop on georges st, don't know if he still does.. While i was there he built a load of apts ontop of the shop on the quays n made a killing from them.. The man has propery all over the place.. When u worked for them for 6 months u could use any of his holida homes for free.. At the time he'd 6 in Ireland, more in the UK, france, germany, spain and a few in the US. The man had money rolling out of his ears...

I remember they bought in a load of warfdale speakers, the cheapest ones where about £80, ranging up to £450.. He'd done a deal n got all the speakers in the range for £70.. Not much profit on the small one's, killing on the huge floorstanders.... As an employee I was able to get stuff at the price he paid for it... £450 speakers for £70.. thos where the days
