    Hi all,

Thinking about getting a Ryanair flight and cheap accommodation in Alghero for a weeek around Easter. Anyone any experience of Alghero? What would it be like in April? Any thoughts\ advice much appreciated.

    Hi Jamjar

I flew to Alghero last September with Ryan Air. I've no idea what April would be like, but it was just right in September, lovely weather, not too busy but not too quiet either. We only spent our first night and last night in Alghero as we hired a car and travelled round for the rest of the time. We stayed in La Margharita in Alghero (I think) It was pretty basic and it was fine for just 2 nights but I think if we were staying for a week we might have liked something a bit more plush. The location on Via Sassari was fantastic though as it is near enough to restaurants/night life etc but far enough away from the noise. So I would definetly reccommend that area, near the bastions. We didn't really spend enough time in Alghero to do a whole lot but what I saw I liked.

If you go on the Alghero forum http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g187880-i539-Alghero_Sardinia.html and ask waht it will be like in April I'm sure a Local Expert will be able to help you.

    Enjoy
