    From the indo

Sources close to the company said yesterday that BT Ireland is over-staffed and is likely to reconsider its position in relation to residential telecoms services, including fixed-line telephony and broadband services.

You would never think that if you were on hold to them all the time, would you ?? Had they come up with a proper billing system years ago then we would not be in this situation would we ????

Well €ircon will be laughing all the way to the bank. There is no way that they should control the network and be a provider.

except continuing to get over charged on every bill (even after getting rid of BT and switching to another provider) and never been able to get through to the call centre.

Where are they over staffed? certainly not the support lines anyway.

BT Ireland is a mess by all accounts. Basically 4 ( or is it five) failed companies huddled together under one roof.

with smarts operation severely dwindled and with next to no advertising, magnet deciding that they are not 'pushing' there LLU offering ( essentially only offering it to those that know about, ask for it, and are able to get it ) and if BT decided to pull out of residential telecoms, i wonder if the government would still be able to say to the people ' Broadband penetration and competition is healthy and increasing and a steady and satisfactory pace'
