Story guys, my wife got me a Wii for Valentines day (top girl, she really is!) and since I don't have a wireless network in my house but do have CAT5 cable run to every room I'm wondering if the LAN adapter for Wii is out yet and if so where I'd get it? Thanks.

Edit: I found this http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-10v-49-en-70-1mwk.html. Is the cable just a standard issue USB-to-Ethernet adapter or is it a specific chipset? Thanks.

The official Nintendo one that you mention works fine with an Irish Wii system, I purchased it and no problems, and it only takes a minute to set up

I doubt there's any technical reason why an ordinary adapter wouldn't work, the only problem is the Wii will probably only recognize the official Nintendo one. I haven't heard of any 3rd party devices which can be plugged into the USB ports and work. (Although they will receive power)
