Wow. Fair play to Greenslade there.

With all the hammers being thrown at the paper, and rapidly sliding sales figures.... Murdoch might revive plans to produce a Sunday Sun*

    * won't be that title, there is a newspaper of that name in Newcastle.

Re-brand the NoTW in other words? It would probably work and all... although, he won't do anything unless the circulation plummets - like he gives a sh*t if his paper's reputation is low, all that matters is that the sales are high.

Almost 10% down in the last year for the NOTW.
January 2007	January 2006	% change	December 2006	January 2007 (without bulks)	August 2006- January 2007	% change on last year
    News of the World 3,426,719 3,789,176 -9.57 3,380,746 3,426,719 3,460,257 -7.25

Shifting 3.4 million copies per Sunday is very good work still, but its not the 5 million it used to shift in the 1980's. The Sun nearly shifts as many daily.

The News of the World is a sick puppy, and with circulation only ever going to go down, as readers habits continue to veer away from the printed word.... Rupert must have something in mind.

    ooh 7,500 post too :)

This is horrendous. They've admitted to fabricating stories before about other celebrities. Please tell me somebody: Why aren't there laws to prevent these newspapers doing things like this? I mean, I'm completely and utterly depressed and part of my angst with thw world is damn newspapers like this. Do the writers not care about other people? Am I the only one that cares? ...maybe that's why I'm depressed - Because I care(?)!
