Need to organise music on Zen vision M

Hi, I've got a bunch of music on a Creative vision M that has no artist/track information. It just shows up as <unknown> on the player, and I have to scroll through a list of filenames to find what I want. I'm trying to find a programme that will help me put in ID3 tags. I don't mind doing it manually, but my problem is that the software that comes with the Zen is absolutely awful for editing track information, because it doesn't show me the music based on what shows up in the player, but by the folder name - and I can't find out easily at all which music doesn't have any track information; it all looks the same with the creative software. Windows Media Player would be perfect for this, but it doesn't let me edit track information for files on the Zen, only on a hard drive (all the files I need to change are currently on an external hard drive which died during the week! :( )

Sorry, I'm starting to realise as I read it back that what I've just wrote is a bit confusing. Basically I'm looking for a programme that displays my music (on a Zen) like Windows Media Player (or iTunes) do, but lets me edit the track information. If this is possible.
    Cheers.
