its just to create IMPULSE BUYING

I think its pointless.most of the time you dont need these things and you just buy because they make you believe you need it.

No way some of the offers are actually quite good if you find them boring then just don't read the thread.

maglites were long favoured by law enforcement types because they look like an innocent enough torch, but are sturdy enough to be used as a baton in a tight spot, so it's not anything new. :)

"For all camping-trips, car trouble, burglars in your house and other tricky moments, this is the perfect solution"

and why would I want to help the burglars in my house by providing a flashlight? If they're stupid enough not to bring their own then they shouldnt be dropping around.

you should look at it this way. If you're in court and you explain to the judge that you just happened to be carrying a hurley through your dark house when you bludgeon a burglar to death/unconsiousness then I think the judge might be sceptical.

However if you explain to the judge that you were surprised and hit your burglar with the torch you just happened to be carrying because it was dark and you didn't want to disturb your other half by turning the light on while you went for an innocent glass of milk, you may have at least a hint of believability. It's not your fault the burglar broke while the torch didn't ;)

    Sold out.

That's a great price for that size of maglite....I paid ~€12 for a 2AA size a few years back....and it doesn't double as a battering ram...
