Where to buy automotive paint online

    As the title says.
I'm planning on buying a few bits for the car (Spoiler, skirts, front/rear bumper) that come primed & ready to fit. The plan was to paint them myself.

I have the paint code already (Z147, Star Silver II Met)

Can anyone suggest an online shop to get the paint?
How much paint would I need for the above do you think?

    Why buy paint online?

Just go to your local motor factors with the paint code and they'll mix some up for you. Paint is heavy and toxic, wouldn't make sense to get it posted

    Good point John.
Just thought it may have been cheaper to get it online.

Also in Halfords if you bring in the code you can get a spray can made up in 5 mins. it only costs 15 yo yo too. but if you are spraying the skirts and the like i recommend getting a few cans!!!!!

You can get automotive paint online. An irish company: www.paintshop.ie sells it. My boyfriend got paint for his car on there. You just e-mail them the car reference number and they send the paint out buy courier. It worked out a lot cheaper than what the automotive shops were charging.

Try Uncle Goooogle, Ebay and some other places too. Shipping restrictions would eliminate shops over the ocean though...

But, if you are serious about the look of the finished bolt on items then bring them to a bodyshop.
That 'primed and ready to spray' is nothing but an advertisment blurb. Most primers should be re-coated within certain time window /24hrs/ and parts bought from the shop shelf have, most certainly, this time window colapsed when you are lodging your order already.
So if you want the paint to last, you will, probably need a primer / sealer as well as your base coat and top clear coat as it is metallic paint.

Apart from that, I haven't seen just one single aftermarket bit, which would not require spray on filler, if nothing else.

Anyway, if you decide to do it yourself, then take your time and try to do it properly for the first time.
    Good luck with it.
