Yay for Abigail. Great little talent that was a joy on screen and hopefully will rise to knoch the over-rated Dakota Fanning as the child actress to watch.

Surprising winner given Abigail was voted Best Actress... Not my own choice here but she was in good competition with Ivana also being excellent.

    NOMINEES:
The parkour scene from 'Casino Royale'
The wood assault in 'Children of Men'
The Bexhill segment in 'Children of Men'
The execution scene in 'The Wind that Shakes the Barley'

    WINNER:
The wood assault in 'Children of Men' (with 38.46% of the vote)

    OPINION:
My choice wins again! The only scene in 2006 to terrify me because it was done so horribly well and completely out of the blue. Every time I hear the "beep beep" sound emitted by car warning systems, I recall this scene. True.

    NOMINEES:
    Brick
    Crank
    Slither
    The Squid and the Whale

    WINNER:
'Slither' with 36.36% of the vote

    OPINION:
You agree with me again! Sure, there's a bit of the Cult of Fillion about this vote but so what? It's funny and got some great action scenes and one of the few movies I've seen that was too damn short.

    NOMINEES:
    Children of Men
    Pan's Labyrinth
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

    WINNER:
'Pan's Labyrinth' with 37.5% of the vote.

    OPINION:
Closest of all the polls. I voted 'Children of Men' personally for the authenticity of the world but 'Pan's Labyrinth''s magical creations are a perfectly good substitute.

    NOMINEES:
    Borat
    Brick
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
    Superman Returns

    WINNER:
'Superman Returns' with 36% of the vote.

    OPINION:
Bah. You screwed up - I liked 'Superman Returns'! And 'Brick' was the most over-rated pretentious movie of last year. Oh well you had to mess up at some point...

    Cars
    Happy Feet
    Monster House
    Over the Hedge

The movie that Tim Burton coulda made instead of the mildly disappointing "Corpse Bride". Good choice in winner here!
