    Hi there,

I need a proper accountant, serious, friendly, available, professional that knows his stuff and is striving to always improve himself and the services he/she provides.

    My situation :

A single monthly bill for 10k.
    Director of my own Ltd.
I claim expenses (Phone, Internet, utility bills and rent : 15%, technical books, training, travel...)
No employee, a part from me
    Other director is my spouse

    What I need him/her to do :

    Make my monthly payslip
    Fill in the VAT forms
Fill in any other mandatory documents
Let me know what I need to pay, where/when
    Keep my book
Well everything, I just want you to do all my accountancy work

This represents no even 5 hours a month worth of work on your side.

How much would you take me to do this job the way I have described it ?

Well, it's not the actual 5 hours work that you're paying for is it? It's the expertise that the accountant is bringing with him.

What Sinndar said, although you'd probably get it done cheaper by someone doing a nixer.

Yeah about the 5 hours I just pointed out the little amount of work needed, but I am sure you will know better than me.

Anyway this kind of price is fine for me, I am just worried about the quality of the work.
With my current one, I have to struggle every months to get him fixe my taxes cut-off and so, and every month I keep losing money and the guy just keeps telling me the tax office will refund me when I will have my P60.
But the guy is unable to send me my P60, so I am going to go ballistic in the next days if nothing is being done.

Reason why I am looking for new profesisonal accountant.

    Thanks

Do you mean you’re paying at the higher rate of tax because the Revenue had you on the incorrect cut off? This cut off will depend on whether your wife is working.

This is something you could have contacted Revenue about yourself, but if your accountant took it on board to do this work for you and didn’t then that is very remiss of him.

It’s now the 7th week into the new year. If your accountant has not given you your P60, especially after he admitted you’ve tax to claim back, then that is not good enough.

If you’re happy that you’ll be leaving him/her, you could say to him that you expect to receive your P60 in tomorrow’s post or you’ll be contacting his professional body.

As it’s after the year end you will need your P60 to get your tax rebate. Good luck!

No about my tax cut off, I meant this is what I am officially entitled to, properly set up by the tax office and sent to my accountant :

    Perso TC : 3520
    PAYE TC : 1760
    Rent TC : 720

But my current accountant has not changed to this, neither my previous 2006 tax credits, so he is still using my 2005 tax credits, which were a bit lower than this year, despite the tax office sent him twice and also myself...

My accountant told me today he will change it on the 26th of Feb.
I think he will be long gone on the 26th lol

Well at least the tax office will refund me the difference for the year 2006 and January 2007, but I really have the feeling my accountant tried to screw me up for the past months...

That’s shocking, Mick.fr. Whatever you’re paying this guy it’s too much. I’ve sent you a PM with some specific advice. You should have plenty of accountants in your locality to take you on.
