I bought a DVD player/HDD recorder from Komplett and need to return it. I have got an RMA number, but am not sure what the best way to return it is. An Post registered post costs €31.5 (the package weighs 20Kg). I will have to bring it along to the post office as well, which is inconvenient. Is there a better way (without breaking the bank?).

See what price some of the couriers give you. Try Interlink maybe.

Dont Komplett refund you the postage costs after?

if so.. just ring up DHL/FEDEX and get them to call out to ur house!

No. According to the email they sent me I have to pay the cost. Its the last time I am ever going to order something of this size/weight again off the internet

Rang around a number of couriers and none would do a once off delivery, so in the end I just went down to the Post Office and sent it by registered post. Same price as the couriers quoted me.

Kompletts preferred box kickers, GLS, have a network of agents 'round the country, shops, petrol stations, web cafes, where you leave the item with them, pay the nominal fee and the item is picked up by GLS. Check out the GLS website - competitve for heavy items but they have a weight limit, think its 25kg. See their website, think the link is 'GLS shop'

GLS have about 60 agents around the country.

    Irish website is http://www.gls-ireland.com/en/home/index.html

Many of the agents are companies that use GLS for their own deliveries so its win win for everyone.

Fastway are also looking into a similar operation at a rate of about €12 per item up to 30kg anywhere in Ireland, but no iternational service.
