Stag weekend

    Hi folks - Im looking for a good city to go to for a Stag weekend - Ive been to Newcastle and Edinburough recently on stags and ideally I would like to do something different. Although if it comes to it I thought Newcastle was awesome so Id do that again!
    Anyway I dont want people to have to spend a packet so the UK is really my preferred location.

    Its kind of a choice between Manchester Leeds and Liverpool - any ideas?

    To be honest smok, it could work out cheaper to get a Ryanair flight to Germany or somewhere on the continent, as what you'd be paying for hotels & beers etc in Sterling, would be made back easily over there.

    For example, if you were to go to any German city, you'll get a twin room in the likes of an IBIS hotel for maybe €60 per night for the room, incl. breakfast. Eating and drinking in Germany is very cheap.

    I had my stag in Gelsenkirchen (home of Shalke FC) and went to the World Bowl (Europe's equivalent to the Superbowl). Flights, hotel, two nights out and tickets for the game worked out around €400 total.

    Last time I was in Leeds I spent that much for a one night trip!

    Do you realise the stag capital of the UK is actually blackpool? Off season, it is just one big pub. I went there and I swear this is true, the gangs of lads and lassies running around getting ratarsed was unreal. Not to mention the bunch of girls in white nurses uniforms, stilletos, and L plates who were there also........ Our first hotel which popped up under stag + blackpool on the net was rejected when we arrived and saw the state of it. So we ended up in the Firgrove Hotel, Blackpool. Not bad at all. Basic but fine for a stag. Free pooltable, all you can eat fry in the morning and ten minutes walk from the pubs. Take the lads to the pleasure beach and scare the hell out of them on the pepsi big one. A rollercoaster that will humble the bravest man in the group
