Broadlink and asterisk

    Hi,

I have been asked to install a call logging system for a client. They need to have a searchable system for all incoming and outgoing calls to the office, they would also like to monitor some calls. They currently have a Broadlink system from Eircom with about 5 extensions.

I was thinking of using Asterisk to do all the logging, this way calls could also be routed over IP to save on call costs.

I would appreciate any suggestions. My experience is with Asterisk in small offices that didn't originally have PBX.

What ways are there to connect Asterisk to this system? Or should I bypass the broadlink PBX?

    thanks

    mh

5 Extensions, I would bypass the broadlink box and install Asterisk.

How many phone lines do they have? PSTN / ISDN / PRI???

They have an ISDN line for phone, but I'm not sure of the details of that line yet.

Would be it easy to sell a broadlink PBX if I send it to the cleaners?
