Online Ethics??

I have came across a few occasions recently whilst playing online heads-up where my opponent has lost connection to the site and the game is thus left at my mercy.

Never once have I took advantage of such a situation and if anybody does I think its horrendous and practically stealing. I lost connection today and lost money through what is effectively "stealing".

Does anybosy on-here willingly take advantage of this situation as soon as it arises?

I would always fold until they get back on but then I'm great. I don't consider it some kind of crime to take advatage of it though. Each to their own.

Im never in such a situation but if I was I would unfailingly take advantage of it, unless the person in question was a personal friend

im the same. Once before i was headsup in a small mtt and lost my connection. My opponent went on to rob me blind. I had him stacked 3-1 and i was down to less than 1 bb when i was back. I felt he effectively robbed me of 1st place. I wont forget that in a hurry!

Theres probably more.

Other than that I always wait til they get reconnected.

I originally read this as "not having the Texan flag as an avatar", I thought your list was great but now I think it is gay.

I raise in a heartbeat when this happens. I have never seen anyone not take advantage. thats in a year of playing online.

My personal favorite is when it is 3 handed in a sit and go and you cover the other person that is not disconnected. All in every time. They are so frightened off the disconnect winning they fold everything bar the nuts. By the time you get heads up you have a 5/1 chip lead. Serves them right for being a pussy and not playing back.
