Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am researching for an end of year experiment for my psy dip night class.

I am struggling to come up with something that is a)realistic b)might be of some value to actually do.

Any ideas lads and lassies ?

What areas of psychology interest you the most?

Not sure bout any specific ideas but if you need participants try and plan your project around the type of participants you would most easily have access to (eg, students in your class, people your own age). I'm doing a project at the moment and it has been a bit of a nightmare as it involves children who are very difficult to work with due to the need for parental consent and various other (understandably) strict guidelines.

Main thing is to choose something you're interested. Personally I think "making a difference" will put undue pressure on you. If possible choose a topic that's related to the area you want to go into later, that really stood to me when I was applying for my current course.

Looking at general psychological publication like the PSI's Irish Psychologist or the BPS' Psychologist magazine, can be great for getting a general feel for what the current areas of interest are and maybe to find an area that really interests you.
